A wooded valley on the western edge of Louth, where the River Lud runs between steep grassy slopes. Families come for the stepping stones, the meadow and feeding the ducks, and a memorial stands in the valley in memory of the donor's wife. A privately run café and toilets are at the Crowtree Lane entrance. The valley is open dawn to dusk.
